Dana Eyre

Dana EyreSociologist with expertise in strategic planning and conflict transformation

Dana Eyre specialises in translating social science knowledge into effective action.

A sociologist with a PhD from Stanford University, he is an expert on social change and organisational learning. He held a Senior Fellowship at the US Institute of Peace, taught leadership at the US Military Academy and strategic planning as the US Naval Postgraduate School.

In the 1990s he served with the NATO Civil-Military Task Force in Bosnia-Herzegovina before becoming senior policy adviser to the UN Deputy Special Representative in Kosovo as well as deputy head of the Economic Policy Office. He spent two years working as senior advisor for USAID’s reconstruction effort in Iraq, where he supervised a variety of economic development and democratisation projects, before returning to Washington as Inter-Agency Coordinator.

He advises Sans Frontières clients on social analysis, campaign planning, and strategic communications and in peace building and conflict transformation activities.
