Former Strategy Director at HHCL & Partners, UK Advertising Agency of the Decade
Jon Leach is a “consultant to the consultants”, acting as a developer and manager of creative ideas.
His background is in advertising, where he managed HHCL and Partners, an agency famous for its radical approach to problem solving. A perennial magpie, he claims to have never had an original idea in his life but to have stolen thousands.
His approach at Sans Frontières is to bring new insights, radical perspectives and off-topic strategies to client problems to help the team crack even the toughest of briefs.
He is currently working on two books (The Mathematics of Creativity and 100 Thinking Boxes), two board games (Knights of the Valley and Wannabe a Pop Star?, a ‘Training for Trainers’ service and a book case in the form of the 52 states of the USA (an idea he stole from Ron Arad).
I’m interested in the hugely emotional nature of human beings, the emotional way they take decisions and construct rational frameworks on top of them. A problem in a lot of sophisticated business discussions is the way we debate the intellectual, the conceptual, the cognitive elements of everything and we forget the emotional part.
