There are many parallels between the commercial and political worlds when it comes to reputation.  Companies will also have ‘core voters’ — people who will always support them. Then there will be influential people, who are like ‘swing voters’ and are undecided when it comes to the reputation. Companies need to act as though they are running a political campaign — but now winning votes on reputation.
